What To Read:
Pantone’s colour of 2018 has officially been announced and it is none other than Ultra Violet. Meant to evoke artistic expression and the cosmos, the colour of the new year moves away from 2017’s cheerful shade of bright green. Read this article on Adweek for more on 2018’s witchy hue that we’re totally into.
What To Do:
Woolrich has opened the doors to its first Canadian store, located in Toronto’s very own Yorkdale mall (where everything seems to be opening these days). While we can’t guarantee that you’ll see actresses Emma Roberts or Jaime King (who hosted the store’s grand opening this week), we can guarantee that you’ll want to check out the super chic new space, especially if you’re shopping for some new outerwear.

What To Listen:
Bumble and Bumble Bizz is a topic that keeps coming up in daily conversations, along with whether you’ve heard the interview with Whitney Wolfe (the founder of Bumble) on How I Built This, or not. It often seems to break down to a 50/50 split between who has and hasn’t heard her interview, so, if you haven’t heard it yet, you need to listen to this podcast recording now.
What To Shop:
Pop-Up shops in Toronto are, well, popping off right now. If you haven’t stopped by already, be sure to check out the Dean Davidson and Ela Handbags #DDElaPopUp on Ossington in Toronto that’s on now until December 14th. Ps. If you’re looking for more local pop-up shops to check out this weekend and next week, don’t miss our round up of some of the best upcoming sample sales and pop-ups to shop!
What To Make:
If you’re ready to be a little naughty but still trying to be nice (to your diet) then this chocolate powerball recipe using Ozery Bakery‘s Lavash Crackers is for you. Not only are these quick to make and healthy for you, but they’ll satisfy your sweet tooth and give you energy you need to get through your Christmas shopping. See below for how to make them:
12 Apple & Quinoa Lavash Crackers
3 tablespoons tahini (or nut butter of choice)
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon chocolate chips or raisins (optional)
1/ Use food processor or grinder to grind the crackers into crumbs.
2/ Place the cracker crumbs into a bowl and stir in tahini, chia seeds, honey and chocolate chips or raisins.
3/ Roll into 1-inch balls and store in the fridge.
What To Watch:
In the mood to cook this weekend or not, you need to watch this, erm, music video (?) that’ll teach you how to cook lasagna. We’re not sure we recommend actually following these instructions, but, at least the video is entertaining, right?
