As a small business owner, there’s no product out there that has been more valuable to me than Square. Seriously, this tiny little white square, that shows up at your doorstep for free, is something I wouldn’t be able to live without in order to process sales for The Chic Canuck and Good Luck Rub at any place, any time.

I’m such a fan of Square that I could be their extremely unofficial sales rep or hype girl — I’ve literally given high fives (and almost hugs) to cab drivers I’ve encountered who are savvy enough to use it, along with fellow shop owners.

When I heard that Team Square was popping up in Toronto for a weekend-long Square Shop experience that not only included learning more about their latest products (they’ve now got a tap that takes debit and full POS system that’s under $200!!) but business-enhancing workshops and local vendors you can shop in person, I was beyond thrilled.

I guess my enthusiasm for their amazing product paid off, because on a whim they agreed to make space for Good Luck Rub (my boyfriend Josh’s super tasty and super versatile dry spice rub that you seriously MUST try) and The Chic Canuck to set up shop alongside the other vendors all weekend long. YAY!

*PSA: WE WILL BE SELLING ALL GOOD LUCK RUB AND THE CHIC CANUCK PRODUCTS FOR JUST $2 WHEN PURCHASED WITH THE NEW SQUARE TAP*

If you are in Toronto this week, the Square Shop in is on now until Sunday October 22nd at 202 Queen Street West (the former New Era shop) and you don’t want to miss it! Not only will you have the chance to attend free workshops hosted by some of the country’s most exciting entrepreneurs and get more info on Square products for your business, but you’ll be able to shop special products from local vendors for just $2 (even when the retail value is between $5-$15) when you pay with their new tap payment system for credit and debit cards.
